Manga competition!

Yesterday went out with my CareGroup mates for a movie at Junction8 (before that we had a short CG session, yup). You know what movie we chose? The Letter of Death, out of so few movies available (Spiderman 3 tickets were sold out until 9pm, while we were there at around 3pm, so.. oh well..). To be honest, the movie was... Erm, I shall not comment here; it was just a normal movie, if you ask me, nothing special about it, especially because it's not that scary, not that thought-provoking, not thrilling. I think it was just a mixture of Deathnote and Saw (although those effects are so fake, hahah..). Ok, enough of the movie, at least yesterday we had the other Timothy to join us! Yeah, long time no see, dude..

Then today when i was browsing through net, I found out there's an International Manga Drawing Competition going on, held by some well-known Japanese company, Kodansha!!! I wanna join!!! But it's actually for a magazine whose target audience is like 20-40 years old males and the deadline is like 31st May 2007 (-_-)... Well, gotta start brainstorming of a story idea now.. I'm ON IT!!! (^o^)

My verse of the day:
(to be studied)
'One day the trees went out to anoint a king for themselves. They said to the olive tree, "Be our king."
But the olive tree answered, "Should I give up my oil, by which both gods and men are honored, to hold sway over the trees?"
Next, the trees said to the fig tree, "Come and be our king."
But the fig tree replied, "Should I give up my fruit, so good and sweet, to hold sway over the trees?"
Then the trees said to the vine, "Come and be our king."
But the vine answered, "Should I give up my wine, which cheers both gods and men, to hold sway over the trees?"
Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, "Come and be our king."
The thornbush said to the trees, "If you really want to anoint me king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, then let the fire come out of the thornbush and consume the cedars of Lebanon!"'
