Yup, finally I started working at edConnect, doing the illustration & animation for some pre-school educational softwares. I met with new faces there, Lindy and Chee Siang, my so-called "mentor" and programmer respectively, I will be working closely with both of them, so it's easier for me to remember their names. There are some others too, but I actually forgot their name (sorry, sorry, I always forget Chinese names very fast one! >_<). One I can remember is Lorraine, which was supposedly the youngest personnel in the company but not anymore because of me =P Overall working there is quite fun, I got to do things that I really enjoy doing, although there are actually times where I need to squeeze my brain to come out with ideas. I guess it's something that can prepare me for the coming study at university, yeah! And surprisingly, most of the employees there are not Singapore citizens; got PR, Malaysian, and Indonesian (me! ^_^).
Food wise, it is total cheap! Yong tau foo with 7 pieces + rice $2.50!!! But they close at 5pm, so I can't dabao home, sob.. T_T Transport, there is straight bus $1.48, while MRT takes $1.60. Overall my expenses in a day is quite alright, the net income is still alright (although currently I'll still need to borrow from here and there, haha.. =P), thank God for my great housemates! I also want to thank God for my boss, for willing to pay my salary weekly for the first 2 weeks! Wah, that really helps my financial condition a lot!
CG on Tuesday was quite different from usual. They actually bought food for the whole CG! So before we started CG we ate some food first. We started off with my game, "Continue the story" and guess what! I got forfeit with Jonathan (T_T), we acted retarded, holding hands and sang Teletubbies song. Super embarrassing, hahaha!! Then we played Timothy's "Murderer" game, I managed to survive as a murderer, yeah!! Harharhar... After worship we were supposed to have quiet time, but suddenly everyone started to leave one by one, and left with Shawn, Kaiwen, Jonathan, and me! 4 people! Yes, four! I think we spent too much time on the games, although yeah, it was fun. Then we went home, accompanied by some nonsense jokes/stories from Shawn, hahaha.. And some spoilers though =)
When I came to realize it, I only left with less than 2 weeks together with my current CG! I'm so gonna miss them all!!
On Wednesday night, I received a call from my mom back in Indo, very unusual. She actually called using handphone that my brother and me gave as her birthday gift last year! WOW!! Hahaha.. Breakthrough! And she said that she actually can call from Indo in a very cheap rate, Rp 1000 (> S$ 0.10) for 1 minute, and she is very fluent in typing sms now. Wah I'm very happy for my mom! =D Anyway, she was telling me that she just received a letter from SAJC (which was sent on 5th May -_-"), saying that I am the recipient of the Jacob Ballas Bronze award for Art! And it is during the coming SAJC College Day, 6 July 2007. Honestly I don't know what that is, but it sounds prestigious, haha.. Really thank God for giving me the perseverance through the whole lots of trouble last year! And now He even blesses me with this Award! Haha, He is good, man!!
Anyway, this week I can name it "The Buble Week", because, as the name suggests, I listen to Michael Buble's song, "Everything" almost everyday. It was initially sparked by Adithya's interest in that song. For your info, if Adithya fall in love with a song, he will certainly sing that particular song for almost everyday, hahaha.. Then after some time I heard the song from TV, "Eh, the melody sounds quite nice!" After that I search through the internet to find the song online, and started looking for the guitar chords, lyrics and stuff. So far, I have listened to the song over and over again for almost 3 days. I think it will stay on until the next few days. The song really got the catchy and happy tunes, I really like it! Hahaha.. Song of the week!
