Short Update - BOSTON!!

Well, it has been one month and I technically haven't updated anyone on what I have been up to down here in Boston (sorry, I think I got carried on too much, haha..), 'cos there's another journal that I need to take care of for my internship report.

Anyways, enjoy this gallery of photos; it's just a few snippets of life here, but I hope can give some idea on what I have gone thru this past month or so. (I'm not allowed to talk about work here though, I can share once I'm done with all the process, yea)

As you've guessed, it's MIT!! The infamous dome main door. The corridor inside is called the infinite corridor due to its length.
(Unfortunately I couldn't take good photo of it, and the dorm as well, maybe next time, lol.)

The fish-scale statue outside this well-known seafood restaurant nearby the GAMBIT office, Legal Seafood. Expensive, but I heard it's nice (duh!). Haven't tried it yet though.

Stata Centre! It's the HQ for the CMS (Comparative Media Studies), a faculty in MIT, under which GAMBIT is under. Very awesome building.

And yea, we stayed at Cambridge, the other side of Charles River. That's Boston side in the picture.

For first few days we had a tour around Cambridge and Boston. Find it kinda confusing that we're actually driving at the right lane, not the left. But yea, AWESOME BUILDINGS!

... and fat pigeons...

And we have a treat to watch UP the first weekend! A very sweet and AWESOME movie by Pixar, they're really getting much much better!! Highly recommended!

Before which we actually went to see this gay parade, Pride Parade somewhere near South Station. Funny photos (and mostly unglam), but I just put this up for now, lol.

After the first week, we're practically let off to manage our own plans to discover Boston during our free time. And so as I go along with my other friends (who're much more decisive), we explored and see...

Architectures...

Squirrels!! (This one was found near my dorm)

One afternoon after work (the sun will only set at 8.30pm!!!). They have a very very long sun set here, which is really awesome (went for a jog once, but didn't bring camera, lol).

Good food (but really expensive and big portion! Have to share with other people, or else..)
In case anyone's wondering, that's the size of the beef meat before it was "processed", lol. HUGE.

Unusual Landscape..

Cheeky products (this is just one of them, lol).

Tour to MIT's Nuclear Reactor. FYI, it's only for generating necessary materials for Research purposes. Don't ask me what they are because I was totally lost when they gave the lecture, lol.

And yea, INTUOS 4!!! (Actually I don't really see/feel much difference overall, because I know it's much better than my tablet, duh) It has a set of replaceable nibs, and one of them really feels like a pencil!

Lots of cute pets...

Fun with friends (this one taken on a floating platform on water, super experimental, lol).

Whale watching. (That's not the ship that we were on, in case anyone is wondering) I don't have any photos of the whale here, 'cos I took videos instead of photos. Not as big as I thought it would be (cos what I imagined is like in those fantasy / movie kind, lol).

And lastly, the most recent one (only a few hours ago), US' Independence Day! Lots of Fireworks, mostly taken in videos. It's really wonderful how these flying colourful bombs can affect the atmosphere and amaze everyone. I don't see fireworks often (unless I feel like), but I think this fireworks was quite amazing, in terms of scale and duration (almost 30 mins full of explosions). Very nice!

That's all for now, I have almost 3 GB worth of photos and videos taken everytime I go out, yea. And I'm really lazy to upload on FB or even here, so yea.

I really thank God for this experience in the land REALLY far away from home. It's already halfway to finishing, but I really wait in expectation to what God will show me this coming month, because I feel the climax isn't here yet, lol.

And I miss my spiritual family... Jiayou for July ESS and LC and other random projects! Praying for strength!
