Another one..

And another one from here.

PS: It's not that I'm burnout, just something to look out for, that I'd tend to fall into.

How to Deal with Burnout

Everyone of us get burned out sometimes. We all go through the same hellish experience of being depressed, exhausted, drained, and just plain tired of everything. However, it is up to us to regain our cheerfulness so we can be our happy selves again.

Expect the unexpected. Even the best laid plans have a loophole somewhere and it’s not because of poor planning. Bad luck can strike any time so don’t be too affected if the project you were planning for months suddenly took a turn you didn’t expect. Being a perfectionist will definitely result in frustration.

Train yourself to move on faster. People who move on faster are able to accomplish more.

Don’t lose your optimism. As long as you’re positive, you will tend to move forward. A pessimistic attitude creates doubts, anxieties and unnecessary self-doubt.

Don’t pile up your commitments. You got enough already so just give yourself a breather between deadlines. Over-commitment is a good way to risk your reputation of being a reliable worker. Just say NO to projects you simply can’t work on.

Work with a team. You have to coordinate with the other staff to speed up the pacing and lessen the work load.

Set a deadline and don’t rush yourself. Yes, you want to finish it as soon as you can but there’s a time for everything. You have to follow a schedule which is not so tight so that work becomes light for you.

Take time off. Yes, you deserve a vacation. Just get out and bring enough pocket money and go as far from work as you can. Sometimes it can be a good idea to leave in the middle of an unfinished project if you really lost your will and motivation. You need the time away to feed your inspiration and free your mind so you can come back with new ideas and a refreshed attitude.
