On Fri Boss and Kx came down all the way to NTU to help move out my stuff. To be honest, I didn't know I have so much stuff hidden everywhere and it adds up to like tonnes of things. Well, without their help I wouldn't have been able to finish it within one day. Thanks lots both of you! Will bless you back when there's a chance!
Oh and I've received my belated birthday gifts: an external HDD and a bike (bicycle, not motorcycle)!! Felt so touched, 'cos I really2 need both of them in my journey in ADM next year. Thank You God for placing me in MinOps and MinOps in my life! Thank you guys! (The bike rocks! Never felt so shiok in my life before, wooo..)
Anyway the reason why I need to move hall (it's considered the FAQ of the week, LoL):
In NTU in order to be able to stay in Hall, each student needs a certain number of Hall points, calculated from the distance of school to their homes plus their ECA points. For international students, we're given 9 pts for the distance and that's the max an NTU student can get for distance (minimum is 3-4). Anyway the cut-off point for previous year was 14 for guys and 13 for girls, so knowing that, with the increasing demand for Hall, I decided (playing safe) to put a hall that no one wants, which is Hall 7! The main reasons of its negative attributes are because it doesn't have a Canteen (yea, we need to go somewhere else to get food -___-) and secondly, it's very far from everywhere (even within NTU)! I figured that I got 15 points overall: 9 (distance) + 3 (subcomm) + 3 (stay with local) = 15
I put Hall 7 as first choice (since I've agreed to stay with my friend) and Hall 11 second choice. And apparently the cut-off point for this year is 15, so lo and behold! I got my first choice! Guess it's a blessing in disguise, haha.. Depends on how you look at it. Anyway new environment is good also, fresh view of things (and I'm kinda used to it already, every year always move places.. I'm a Nomad*!! LoL.)
* nomad = a member of a people or tribe that has no permanent abode but moves about from place to place, usually seasonally and often following a traditional route or circuit according to the state of the pasturage or food supply.
Anyway Back-On is quite cool, I mean their songs (the band looks normal, those Linkin Park street style). Know them from the Air Gear anime opening theme (Chain), it's quite a cool anime, though I only read the manga (I think the manga is much better than the anime, but too much fan-service stuff which kinda spoil the whole coolness =/ ).
