Ok, first thing's first. I'm not emo or anything, I just happened to come across this piece of.. poem?.. online and I would like to share it here since I think it's quite good for a reflection. Written by someone by the nickname of Kiysta from here. Here it goes:

If I were not a Christian/Please become a Christian

If I were not a Christian
I would do as I please
my life would be a ease

sometimes
I’d only do what I want
I’d mainly think about me
I’d still be writing fanfiction for my fav anime shows
such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and now Naruto

I wouldn’t watch my thoughts
be an extreme dark goth
I’d take in my full fill of blood and guts from Hellsing
I would dream of death
I’d buy any manga
wouldn’t care what’s in it

I’d pervert my mind and soul
I would cuss in school
I would be a fool
I would be depressed
I would cut my arms
my life would be a mess

If I were not a Christian
I don’t understand life
don’t understand how life works for people
like how they can be so happy with no true direction
I know it doesn’t work that way for me
if I wasn’t so scared I would have committed suicide
and I might have if it wasn’t for God
reminding me why I’m alive
if it wasn’t for God in my life
I would have died or might have tired (and failed) and been living a messed up life

please don’t live like that
live your life in a true direction
ask God to be your friend
you’ll never be lonely again
He is all you need
wonder why you keep searching?
you were made for Him
He calls you home
you need Him
don’t try this on your own

give up your post
let Him help you with your tasks
get you back up on your feet
help you breathe again
you life will be so sweet
you will feel complete
if you become a Christian

cause you’re in need
ask Him to come into your life
you need to feel alive
get a smile on your face
feel warm in this place

get prepared for a fun exciting life
a journey that is full of surprise
you will feel free
never be tied down
like those other things in your life
you will feel alright
