Behind I.F.

I.F. = Identity & Friendship

Last Sat's IF ESS was very good! The musicians were super skilled, esp (the highlight) Simon!! Haha.. He really can pull out such a marvelous stunt in front of almost full-house Nexus with the Final Countdown song! Well done man! Haha.. Daniel shared to me that their planning was really behind time, and yet they managed to perform considerably well on the actual day itself.. "It must be God."

Prior to this super hectic days, I actually had a great dilemma, choosing between going for Freshmen Orientation Camp for my faculty or skip it in order to do the animation for IF. It was a few days before the registration for FOC opened. Then I was on train, on my way back from work. I inquired to God, "Father, what do You want me to do? You know I want to glorify Your name through my works and to impact people's lives. You know I want to be used by You.. I.F. is important, but if I miss the FOC, I wouldn't get the chance to get to know my faculty members, to reach out to more people, to get to know them and bring them back to You. I know I wouldn't have enough time to do the animation for I.F., but I believe that You will bring me through. But.. I still don't know, what should I do?"

Then I took time to listen to Him, to what Holy Spirit got to say. And something really struck me big time, "Remember Jesus. Remember how He surrendered everything to follow God's will, to die on the cross for your sake. He did it although He could have just escaped, knowing very well that He was still able to preach the Word to the people around Him. Aren't you in the same situation as Jesus now? Aren't you at the Garden of Gethsemane, just like He was? Jesus gave up His comfort and His rights for God's Kingdom, what about you?" Just after those thoughts came into my mind, I had the strong conviction, "I.F., I'M COMING!!" How about FOC? I guess I can still hang around to get to know people, slowly, when the semester starts, but harvest can't wait! If we miss the harvest, we'll miss to bring souls back to Christ!

And here I am, stuck in the production of the animation @_@. Trust me, it's super tiring and time- consuming, haha.. Whenever people asked me, "Is it really worth your time?" I know it's worth it, because this is a form of my worship for God. They may not see the significance of it. One will know how much it means to serve God when he starts to serve Him. It's very exciting. Yeah!! Jiayou Boss, Puay, Jiancong, and Lays!! Thanks so so much for all your help!! Let's finish this as a team!!
