Debates..

Well, yesterday Ardi, my ex-ACS(I) fellow scholar friend came to visit my place. Basically he just wanted to share about his new job at Venture Era, some marketing company, which he said it is worth joining and also able to ensure his financial stability. I can see that it is worth joining indeed, looking at how much salary he can possibly earn with just selling a few items, considering he is not required to go to his office very often. I understand his good will in asking me to join him so as to ensure my financial stability since he knows my family background, but I just need some time to think about it since I am not the type of person who can do many things at one go. However, as our conversation went on, we got to know the churches we are attending now and he started condemning my church, just because of one minor issue, which is not the main root of Christianity (sorry, I won't say what issue it was). Many things he said that really hurts (but not that much, since I am quite open to this kind of stuff), by using an excuse, "I just want to find the genuine/ultimate truth!" He asked me to prove certain things from the Bible, and I did show him some, but he was still not receptive. Well, he had actually known what to believe in and no matter what I told him, he won't accept it; no point wasting my time debating. I was so glad that he already served faithfully in his church, but he ruined my mood by those sarcastic comments about my church's principles. If you (Ardi) happen to read this, I just want you to have humility to listen to what other people believe in, they have their own reasons and don't go around destroying other people's relationship with their spiritual families. I know you are concerned about the truth, but most importantly, you must understand the purpose of the truth. God commanded us to love Him and to love people. You can't love people by doing those stuff you did! Nothing else matters. Humility dude, humility.. Is not that what God wants from us?

Anyway, went to CG today, played the game "Find the Shem!" (originally "Finding Nemo" =P). It was a super crazy game, but could see everyone really enjoyed and became awake, hahaha.. Then we played "Snap Jack", another mad game. The worship was great overall, thanks to Shawn that really brought the atmosphere up a lot! After that we shared with Timothy our experiences in the previous camps so that he know what to expect of this coming June Camp. The interesting thing is that after we prayed together that no one will be left behind for the camp, Norman who initially said that he could not make it to camp, said that he actually can make it! Because he said in the 3rd week there will be no extra lessons for him. Yeah, God actually answered our prayer almost instantly! Hahaha..

After CG, I had a shepherding with Ding Chuen. I really poured out my problems to him and he gave me many cool insights and solutions and ways to tackle the situation I had earlier yesterday. I'm really thankful to God that I have such a wonderful shepherd like him! =D He really brought back my joy and my confidence in the Lord! Amen!

My verse of the day:
'...The Lord does not look at the things man look at.
Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
'

[ 1Samuel 16:7 ]
